FVAQ held a display at the 103rd annual Goldsteins Bakery Gold Coast Show, taking strong enquiry from potential new competitors and generally raising awareness of Vee racing.
Similtanously occuring over the same late August weekend as Round 4 of the Championship (at Warwick), the show attracted 52,000 over the 3 days. With nearly all FVAQ members racing at Warwick, the display consisted of just one car, being Tim Hamilton's 2008 Jacer F2K8 1600cc which competes in the NSW State Championship. The large internal Motorsport Display hall provided a welcome rest from the sun and heat of the outdoor activities. As the only open-wheeler, the black & green Jacer stood-out amongst the various V8 Supercars, WRC, Dirt Speedway, NASCAR, 70's Muscle, Drag and other performance cars. Trade displays included Paul Morris Motorsport; Holden Performance Driving Centre; Go Racing Simulators; Mini Challenge; F1 GrandPrixTours.com.au; K1 Kart Gear; and Super GP... which after placing their dispaly down the back, re-stationed their two 'Miss Super GP' grid girls in-front of the Vee for the weekend...
Thanks to Paul Rockall from Go Racing Simulators for organising the display, Super GP for providing two beautiful grid girls and the Hamiltons for promoting the FVAQ all weekend.
